Handy Tips
If you have any questions or requests for the Handy Tips page then please contact me on the Contact Us Page. I shall endeavour to answer your questions as speedily, and as accurately as is possible Important Point : Do not get any paint onto the drive gears, or the main shaft, or any of the blades Always start on the bottom of the skids, by the time you have completed the rest of the framework they should be dry enough to stand the craft on them. the second area to paint is those areas that are hidden inside, such as around the main mast before working towards the tail ![]() You may want to mask off certain areas such as the windscreen, if you are going to use masking fluid then you must work quickly and accurately. Masking fluid can dry in just a few minutes. Do not dip your brush all the way into the liquid or as soon as it dries it will be the last time you ever get to use that brush again ![]() You should always ensure that you have some way of identifying what channel the helicopter is on (in this case I have painted the tail fin red to show that it is channel A) ![]() Once complete, protect the painted ares with a clear Satin, or Matt finish. Only use Gloss on windows or the eyeballs of pilots ![]() |
